The Big Apple will likely dodge the worst of a nor’easter expected to slam the East Coast this weekend
Heavy rains and wind gusts topping 50 mph will batter the Jersey Shore, eastern Long Island and the New England coast — veering east of New York City.
Minor to moderate coastal flooding can occur, worst on Friday and Saturday, driven by sustained onshore winds combined with this Saturday’s full moon, which will push tides higher than normal.

Pizza Meeting on Tuesday Feb 10, 2026 is canceled. The safety of our members and lack of snow cleared parking has caused the Staten Island Sail + Power Squadron to cancel the 2/10/26 Meeting at Lee's Tavern.
