🚨 BREAKING NEWS: According to Governor Phil Murphy, COVID-19 numbers are improving around the State of New Jersey and guidelines have been adjusted for WEDDINGS to expand to 50% CAPACITY of a banquet room or 250 PERSONS MAX (effective Monday, May 10th).

Also, DANCE FLOORS will be ALLOWED to open at private catered events with masking and social distancing in place. 😷💕

As you may know, Governor Cuomo recently announced the launch of Excelsior Pass: A free, voluntary platform developed in partnership with IBM, which utilizes proven, secure technology to confirm an individual's recent negative PCR or antigen test result or proof of vaccination to help fast-track the reopening of businesses, venues & Live Events in accordance with NYS Department of Health guidelines. In coordination with the NYS Excelsior Pass Team, your Live Events Coalition is providing you:
- A demo on how the program works
- Answering questions specific to the Excelsior Pass
- Ensuring you & your businesses are familiar with the platform
for reopening & safe Live Events!

Starting today we’re celebrating with our “Hospitality is Here” fundraising campaign! The goal of this campaign is to celebrate the resilience of our industry and mark our excitement for its return while raising money for those in need as we make it through this final period to get there.

We would love for you to participate in this campaign! See below for some information on how to get involved.

Step 1: Take a photo of you holding a sign that says “Hospitality Is Here” – you can make your own or print out ours here!

Step 2: Share your photo on social media and hashtag so that others can follow along and get involved!

Step 3: AYS will donate $5.00 to non-profits helping hospitality workers in need due to the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown of our industry for every person who posts on social media*. Donations will be split up equally between the Live Events Coalition of New York and New Jersey supporting the SEARCH Foundation, the Restaurant Strong Fund and The SHFM Foundation.
