Just like most THON orgs, and ASA had in the past, we were given the opportunity to have 2 dancers representing our sorority! Our 2 dancers will be Kori Brown (Primary Chair) and Jasmine Jimenez (Family Relations)!! We hope to be given the opportunity to adopt a family in the future but, we are still just as excited to be back in the BJC for our second year back as an organization!!

So far this year, we have attended and held multiple fun events. In October, members of our chapter and SAE attended the THON 5K together!! Some of our sisters even participated in a volleyball tournament benefitting THON with our friends in Tri Sig, ADPi, PiKapp, ZBT and SAE. Our sisters even made it into the finals! We have also held successful fundraisers like a Ribboning Fundraiser, Pie-A-ASAE, and a Thrift store! Our chapter is still planning more fundraisers to benefit THON so be on the lookout for those!!

On October 7th,2024 the Gamma ETA chapter celebrated 1 year of being back on campus and installed!! Each and every day we continue to grow and feel nothing but joy to be back.

This year Alpha Sigma Alpha held their 53rd National Convention and Leadership Conference in Kansas City, Missouri on July 10th-13th 2024. We were able to send two of members to represent the Gamma Eta Chapter. We sent Zoe jakl (Alumnae relations director) and Mady isenhour. At the convention, our sisters not only grew closer together but were able to grow as leaders, meet alumnae, and other collegiate members, and learn more about our sorority

Dear Alumni,

Penn State’s Dance Marathon, THON, is something that the sisters of Alpha Sigma Alpha care deeply about. Each and every year we do our best to make a difference in the lives of those affected by pediatric cancer.

As some of you may already know, due to the loss of University recognition, we are unable to raise money in the traditional ways we have in previous years. To overcome this challenge, I have committed to enter this year’s Independent Dancer Couple (IDC) lottery for a chance to continue the legacy of ASA THON. As the former President, I have dedicated significant amounts of time and support to the cause.

Being someone who has lost a cousin to pediatric cancer, I know exactly how beneficial and meaningful the money and support raised by THON can be. No matter what changes ASA has experienced in the past year, we refuse to step down to cancer.

The IDC lottery is an extremely competitive process and I need your support in order to represent our sorority on the dance floor in February. In order to enter the lottery, I must raise $2,800, with each additional $700 providing me with an additional entry.
