What an incredible two days at the BHARP Healing Forward Trauma Symposium held September 16/17, Blair County Convention Center, Altoona, PA!

This event was especially meaningful as we celebrated 10 years of the Trauma-Informed Care Center (TICC) Initiative and brought together professionals from across the region for two days of learning, connection, and reflection.

From keynote presentations and breakout sessions supporting conversations about vicarious trauma, resilience, addiction, dignity, safety, family systems, neurodiversity, play therapy, ethics, and emerging practices, the symposium highlighted just how broad and evolving trauma-informed care continues to be.

We are grateful to every presenter, panelist, attendee, vendor, and partner who contributed to the success of the event. A special thank you to Nick Miller of TheNickMillerProject.com for providing live music during our networking reception and helping create such a great atmosphere for everyone to connect.

We closed the symposium with a panel discussion reflecting on the growth of the TICC Initiative over the past decade-where we are today-and, most importantly, looking ahead to where this work can develop and grow.
