This week Thursday October 1 we had our last cookout of the summer with good fellowship and food on a pleasant fall evening. In November we will return to our winter quarters and start meeting again at UNV.

EAA 1327 had another great summer cookout Wednesday evening with perfect weather, good food, and great company! We resolved to have one more before moving indoors for the winter weather permitting in September.

It’s another . Here we are at EAA Oshkosh 1992 when members of the 357th Fighter Group “Yoxford Boys” reunited for their 50th anniversary at Warbirds in Review.

Here are some interesting ties for Pennsylvania to our national aviation heritage. They did a podcast episode for every state including here PA. We had a very successful Young Eagles event at Sentimental Journey Fly-In flying 63 young people giving them a good introduction to General Aviation. Thanks to a great turnout of pilots we were able to fly everyone who was interested. Thanks to our pilots John Ricciotti visiting from NH (who brought a rare Meyers MAC-145), David Dix, David Schulte, Bob Grove, Randy Kilmer, Richard Rain, Mike Jones, ground controllers John Zimmerman and Karl Mierzejewski, fantastic support from the Civil Air Patrol, and Ed Watson and the Piper Aviation Museum as well as many others we had a great event! **** DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCE BEYOND OUR CONTROL NO YOUNG EAGLES FLIGHTS FRIDAY!! We will be flying as advertised Saturday weather permitting. ****

We will be in front of the PIPER MUSEUM in Lockhaven, PA Friday and Saturday (June 12-13) offering free airplane discovery rides for kids ages 8-17. We suggest arriving earlier in the day as we end flying not scheduling participants at the advertised times. All activities are weather permitting for the safety of our pilots and participants.

EAA 1327 hosts our annual Young Eagles rally during the Sentimental Journey Fly-In The Fly-In itself now only a month away is a great family aviation event! Fly-In, Drive-In and maybe we will see you at the Pig Roast there Saturday. night.

Sentimental Journey Fly-In began in 1986, when a small group of dedicated volunteers set out to bring something special back to Lock Haven—the airplanes built by Piper, returning to the runway where so many of them first flew.

Nearly all of the iconic tube-and-fabric Piper aircraft lifted off from this very field. Today, nearly four decades later, that same spirit lives on.
Now in our 40th year, Sentimental Journey welcomes all makes and models, with a special nod to taildraggers. Whether you arrive in a classic Cub or something entirely different, you’ll find a warm welcome—and a long grass runway waiting.

Sentimental Journey, Inc. is a Pennsylvania 501(c)(3) nonprofit, supported by volunteers and members who care deeply about preserving aviation history while keeping it accessible for future generations.
