This is HUGE. New Mexico is now the first state in America to guarantee no-cost child care for qualifying families — giving parents the freedom to work, go to school, build a career, and raise their kids without being crushed by impossible child care costs.

This is what putting working families first actually looks like. While Republicans obsess over culture wars and attacks on public education, Democrats are lowering costs, expanding opportunity, and making life easier for parents.

Every state in America should be watching New Mexico right now. Universal child care is not just good family policy — it is good economic policy. Governor Lujan Grisham and New Mexico Democrats just showed the country what real leadership looks like. Let’s go!
