Big thanks to WJAC-TV News for covering our first-ever STEM Day for Schools, a FREE field trip for middle schoolers! 💡🔧

We had an incredible day with more than 400 students from across the region, getting hands-on with robotics, drones, coding, building and more alongside our friends at KidTech.

We created STEM Day as an extension of Maker Faire Happy Valley because we believe every student should have the chance to explore, make, tinker and discover where their curiosity might lead — especially students who may not have an easy way to attend a weekend event.

With support from local partners The Hamer Foundation and AAUW-State College, we were able to make this experience free and bring the excitement of Maker Faire directly into the school day.

And we’re keeping the making going all weekend long! 🎉

Maker Faire Happy Valley is THIS weekend — Saturday 11 AM–5 PM and Sunday 11 AM–3 PM at Axemann Brewery and Titan Hollow in Bellefonte.

Last year was our first Maker Faire. This year, we’ve grown the weekend with even more ways to explore, create, connect, and learn by doing.

Why do and present ?

Because events held across the WORLD bring together the kind of community we feel lucky to be part of every day.

We’re a nonprofit creating opportunities for people of all ages to explore, experiment, create, and learn. And none of that happens alone.

It happens because of the volunteers who give their time. The educators who inspire. The craftspeople who share their skills. The partners and sponsors who support us. The families who show up over and over again.

Maker Faire brings all of those people — and makers from near and far — together for a weekend of curiosity, creativity, and projects.

You don’t have to be an experienced maker. You just have to be curious.
