Colored Conventions Project

Colored Conventions Project The Colored Conventions Project (CCP) brings nineteenth-century Black organizing to digital life. We mostly tweet at .

It presents the minutes of national and state conventions that convened from 1830 until the end of the century. Delegates include men and women writers, organizers, church leaders, editors, and entrepreneurs in the canon of early African American leadership. CCP also presents online exhibits and a curriculum for its national teaching partners. We endeavor to transform teaching and learning about this historic collective organizing effort for a new generation of scholars, independent researchers, historic Black church congregations and students.

Amos Freeman--activist and Colored Convention delegate--to our first mural dedication with Mural Arts Philadephia!
