Venturing Crew 21 - Juniata Valley Council Venturing is an organization for youth aged 14-20, focusing on Adventure, Leadership, Personal Growth, and Service.

Crew 21 is re-launching in 2023 with Discovery Space of Central PA/The Rivet as our chartered organization.

Need Wilderness First Aid? Here is an August State College course.

Confident Camper Foundation will be running an American Red Cross Wilderness First Aid Certification Course August 22 – 24 at Discovery Space.

Designed for scouts and scout leaders, outdoor enthusiasts and anyone who works or spends time in remote environments, this course teaches advanced skills to be used in emergencies when help from professional first responders may be far away. Based on the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid Curriculum and Doctrine Guidelines, this course aligns with OSHA’s Best Practices for Workplace First Aid Training Programs.

Prerequisites for Wilderness First Aid training include:

Students must possess a current CPR/AED certification
Students must be at least 14 years old by the last day of class
The cost for this course is $125 and includes both WFA and CPR certification.

The course will run:

Friday, 8/22 5:30-8:30
Saturday, 8/23 10-5
Sunday 8/24 from 10-5
