🎉 Exciting News! 🎉

The Centre Region Active Adult Center has been awarded a $9,597 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Aging!

This funding will support new fitness and recreation equipment that enhances safety, accessibility, and engagement for adults age 55+ at the Active Adult Center. Thank you to the Pennsylvania Department of Aging for investing in our community and supporting active aging in Centre County.

That’s a wrap on our spring session of Mess Express! We had a blast getting messy together. Our theme for the last class was baking! We kicked things off with the story The Best Mouse Cookie by Laura Numeroff, then the real mess-making began! We created alphabet peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, frosted and decorated “sponge cakes,” and got hands-on by mixing up some delightfully messy slop cookies. Thank you for a spring full of creativity, sensory fun, and messy memories!

Centre Region Veterans and their families joined us for a special edition of Start Smart Baseball! We played "snap the trap" to help us field grounders, "twist the trunk" to help us throw, and "squish the bug" to help us swing when batting.

Thank you to all of our Veterans for their service! Please join us on Wednesday June 10 from 6:30-8 PM at Autumnwood Park for a special edition of Family Game Night for Veterans. Free; registration is not required.
