Let's get artsy!

Students in grades 5-8 in Centre County are invited to create an original logo design for the 2027 AAUW State College Used Book Sale. The winning design will be featured in promo materials for the 2027 sale, including posters, bookmarks, flyers, and social media.

The winner will receive $50 in Book Bucks to be used at the sale.

AAUW State College & the Community Diversity Group invite you to this fall's CEW Luncheon.

Women in public office bring greater focus on family and health policy, more cross-party collaboration, and stronger constituency engagement. Yet fewer women run, often due to social expectations, caregiving demands, and bias in recruitment and fundraising.

Local women who have served in elected office or helped in elections will share their experiences and offer advice for anyone considering a run or helping elect other women to public office.

Applications are open for our 2027 Community Action Grants. 💜

Every year, proceeds from the AAUW State College Used Book Sale go straight back into Centre County. For 2026, we received 20 applications requesting a combined $116,514, and awarded $65,000 to 13 organizations delivering services across the county.

Now we're looking for the next round of programs to fund.

Non-profits in Centre County, programs serving more than half women or girls, tied to the AAUW mission. We fund programs, not organizations.

Please come join us at the First Annual Voter Education Expo on Sunday, September 13 at Nittany Mall! We will have a table where we will share information about Women Who Care and the wonderful work that this amazing group makes possible in Centre County.

The League of Women Voters of Centre County (LWVCC) and the State College Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will host the event “Why Should I Vote? Voter Education Expo” on Sunday Sept 13, 2-5pm at the Nittany Mall Active Adult Center/Mall Commons (Entrance A). The Expo will provide nonpartisan information about the voting process and showcase community groups, and Federal, State and Municipal programs. The goal is to encourage all eligible Centre County citizens to register and vote by showing what government and communities provide—and how their votes impact that.

The free Expo will host information tables from dozens of community and government groups. Completing a Trivia Passport while visiting the tables qualifies visitors for tickets for prize drawings. There will be arts and crafts for kids (and adults!)

The Expo will feature a panel discussion on Finding Reliable information for Voting, with Cory Barker from PSU’s News Literacy Initiative, Sarah Rafacz from Spotlight PA, and Jessica McAllister, CDT Editor. Other speakers will cover What You Get for Your Taxes by Center County Controller and How’d that High Rise/Mega Data Center/Hotel Get Built There? by the Centre County Community Development and Planning Commission.
