Our handsome boy Ripple looks good in every color, but he's staying safe in orange this Fall! 🍂🍁

Ripple is an energetic 4-year-old Australian Shepherd mix who loves the outdoors and is always game for an adventure. He's house trained and such a smart boy, and would prefer to be the only pet in an adult-only home. Ripple's looking for a family who can give him the time and patience he needs to warm up to new people, but once he's your friend, he'll shower you with affection and love! You can submit an adoption application for Ripple online to schedule a time to meet him.

Meet two of our newest PAWS dogs - Skittles and Maple Bean. Skittles was found as a stray in the Altoona area and Maple Bean was found near Circleville Park. Being there to help stray dogs in need is one of the many important ways PAWS helps animals and the people who love them. Providing a safe space for stray dogs is not new for PAWS, but this week specifically you can help us continue that work.

And now, you can help animals like these beautiful girls by purchasing admission for one person to PAWStober Fest for just $10!

Our cats and kittens are not at PAWS for you to meet them in person, but our website is always open for you to peruse and submit an adoption application.

Poppin Fresh is an older kittens whose two other littermates are on their way to new homes, so he hopes to follow in their footsteps!

His foster parent shared the Poppin Fresh can be shy at first, but he is a very loving kitty:

"He hangs out on my lap while I'm working on the computer and is learning not to walk on the keyboard.

His favorite toy is a fuzzy worm on a fishing pole. He will drag it all over the house once he catches it."

Raspberry wants to remind you to enjoy the Fall weather, even on a Monday morning! This gorgeous girl loves spending time outside and exploring new places, and even enjoys picking her own raspberries! She's a 2-year-old German Shepherd who would prefer to be the only pet in a low-traffic home. Raspberry can be shy and needs time to feel safe and comfortable with new people, but her foster tells us she's affectionate, loyal, and a sweetheart. If you're interested in learning more about our lovely girl, submit an adoption application today on our website.

We are in desperate need of more cat fosters as we continue to deep clean to combat ringworm.

Our cat wing is closed, fosters are needed who can take newly surrendered cats directly to their home for foster.

The vast majority of our fosters use spare rooms and bathrooms for housing their fosters. If you can open a room in your home to a cat for even a short time, you'll be saving lives!

By fostering, you'll provide a loving, safe environment for the cat and PAWS will provide all of the food, vet care, and necessary supplies.

Your compassion could make all the difference. The cats NEED you!
