Remi and Tundra are so excited that their Penn State friends are back in town!

Penn State students are a tremendous help to PAWS by fostering our animals, volunteering their time at the shelter, or showing their support by attending our events.

A trio of fabulous felines waiting to meet you at PAWS today!

Tomatillo, the handsome guy in the middle, is a loving and gentle cat who is said to be a lap cat.

His tuxedo buddy is Brigadier Gubbins, a friendly guy who loves to be with his people and will often climb onto you for attention.

Rounding out this trio is Gerry the gentle tabby who loves to be pet and will purr away when given attention.

They have tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, so be sure to visit them first when you come to PAWS -- you won't be disappointed!

We were so excited that our Patio Party sold out, and then realized how much work we had to do to get ready.

Thankfully, our front desk volunteers jumped in to help us out!

Whether taking care of administrative projects, greeting visitors, answering phones, or processing donations, our front desk volunteers are so important to PAWS.

They are the face of PAWS, assisting the community and animals in need with smiles and compassion.

While many have settled into cozy homes with their new families, one is still waiting for his.

Baby Toes is a sweet 2-year-old boy who is looking for a calm and patient home where he can continue building confidence at his own pace. Doggy siblings are a must for this pup! Baby Toes absolutely loves other dogs and is required to have at least one canine companion in his home. His furry friends make him feel more comfortable; he loves playtime and even enjoys sharing his crate for snuggles. Baby Toes has a big personality in that tiny body, and is sure to make you fall in love.

Morrissey's wonderful to help us celebrate that it is Friday!

"We renamed him to Frankie, and his middle name is Morrissey. He’s doing so well and is so happy!

He and Stella [the dog] get along great. He is literally the sweetest cat, and we already love him so much!"

Morrissey was adopted earlier this month, and we are so happy that his new family focused more on what a sweetheart Morrissey in instead of the fact that he tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus.

Another Youth Reading Program Session wrapped up this past Monday, and how the readers thanked us warmed our hearts.

For her birthday, Kynleigh asked for money to buy supplies for our cats and dogs. She raised $200 and bought all of these great donations!

Willow also surprised our cats with some of their favorite toys and a sweet thank you note.

Kitten Season is still in full swing! This little Lambie was found by adoptable PAWS dog, Sheep, while out for a walk. Her foster mom scooped her up and reached out to PAWS for help. It's a very good thing she did, because the little sweetie was covered in fly eggs and screaming for food. After a warm bath to get all those nasty bugs removed, she got to get warmed up and chow down.

Not all of our rescues are huge undertakings - sometimes it's as simple as providing a bath, warmth, good food, and a safe place to go. Lambie's foster went from no animals to two foster animals in just a few days. You can be a hero for animals, too, by being a PAWS foster parent. All it takes is a little extra space in your home and your heart.

Want to meet kittens but you aren't able to come to PAWS on the weekend, Winnie and Luther say that "We are here during the week!"

These 16-week-old kittens can be adopted separately, but they would love to be adopted together or with another kitten friend to play and snuggle with.

Just imagine how you can double the love and fun with these two in your home!

Our PAWS pups were busy, busy, busy this past weekend!

From meeting potential adopters at dog showings to enjoying brunch at The Hublersburg Inn or heading out on Pet Partner outings, our dogs have been getting plenty of fresh air, new experiences, and quality time with their favorite humans.

And a huge thank-you to our incredible staff and volunteers who make these adventures possible. Whether you’re taking a dog for a walk, bringing them along for brunch, helping at a showing, or simply giving them some extra love and attention, you’re helping our pups get one step closer to their happy homes.
