Day on the Hill: June 16, 2026

Day on the Hill is scheduled for Tuesday, June 16, 2026, and you’re invited! The Pennsylvania Association of School Nurses and Practitioners will have table displays set up in the rotunda area of the state Capitol. Volunteer CSNs are needed to staff the displays, tell legislators what school nurses do, and help with “screenings” - interactive displays! Schedule a meeting with your state Representative and state Senator. We realize people start going on their vacations in June, but if you are able to, you will not regret the opportunity to advocate for your profession and the children you care for. Retired CSNs are also welcome! The day will start at approximately 9:00 AM and last until 3:00 PM. Wear comfortable shoes along with your white jacket. At the Annual Business Meeting, members in attendance participated in a thoughtful and collaborative process to select a new name for our organization. After careful consideration of submissions provided by our membership, a vote was held and a new name was officially approved.

We are proud to announce that the Pennsylvania Association of School Nurses and Practitioners will become the Association of Pennsylvania Professional School Nurses.

This milestone reflects the collective voice, professionalism, and forward-thinking vision of our members. The new name more clearly represents our role and dedication as professional school nurses across the Commonwealth.

We look forward to continuing our important work under this new identity and celebrating this exciting step forward together.
