On May 22nd, a chemical v***r leak from a 34,000-gallon industrial tank prompted the issue of mandatory evacuation orders for up to 50,000 nearby residents.

Fire officials have been unable to control the valves on the industrial tank, which holds between 6,000 and 7,000 gallons of methyl methacrylate - a hazardous and highly flammable chemical used to make plastic parts at GKN Aerospace's manufacturing facility in Garden Grove, CA.

Families uprooted, moved to shelters or friends or family homes, with whatever they could grab in the rush to leave. What would you grab? Where would you go? Have a plan to be Always Ready - "Semper Paratus" - before the emergency hits.

May is STOP THE BLEED month! More than 5 million people have been trained in the STOP THE BLEED program since 2016. Do you have the skills and the confidence to stop severe bleeding? CRR includes this certificate in all of our training activities, giving you techniques and hands-on practice on how you can save a life. This weekend we had the privilege to support a great local cause: PackHOPE sponsored by Calvary Church and Unto. Our volunteers and their families came out and packed rice and lentils destined for refugees in the third world.
