State Center Iowa Lions Club

State Center Iowa Lions Club This is the Official State Center Iowa Lions Club Facebook site. Currently, there are twenty-eight members ranging from age 26 - 87. Dinner meetings at 7:00 p.m.

The State Center Iowa Lions Club are a part of Lions Clubs International which is a volunteer organization dedicated to leadership development through community service. The State Center Lions Club, established in 1930, is the oldest continuing service club in our city. Most members are just like you, gainfully employed or retired, busy with life, and are community-minded. are held in the basement

of the Methodist Church the second Monday of every month besides December and July. There is also a social held at a member's residence before each meeting. Socials are also held the fourth Monday of every month. The members of this club love to have fun! Being a member is very inexpensive. Funds raised through dues and fundraisers are generously given back to the community - some of which are the Rose Festival, West Marshall Scholarships, State Center Main Street, Prom, Homecoming, Library, and Leader Dogs for the Blind. Also, more than 135 trees have been planted by members over the past ten years. As one can see, the State Center Lions Club does so much for many people. Current Officers:

Today, the streets of State Center were filled with thousands of smiling faces, cyclists, families, volunteers, and visitors from all across the country—and our little town couldn't have been happier to welcome you.

From all of us at the State Center Iowa Lions Club, THANK YOU for stopping, visiting, and supporting our community during Splash Into State Center – RAGBRAI 2026.

Whether you grabbed one of our Iowa Premium ribeye steak sandwiches, stopped for a cold drink, shared a smile with one of our volunteers, or simply took a few minutes to enjoy everything State Center has to offer, you helped make today something truly special.

The grills are hot, the volunteers are ready, and the State Center Iowa Lions Club is excited to welcome thousands of RAGBRAI riders to our community today!

Months of planning have led to this moment, and we couldn't be more excited to serve one of Iowa's favorite traditions—a delicious grilled Iowa Premium ribeye steak sandwich! 🥩

A huge thank you to Iowa Premium in Tama, Iowa, for generously donating the ribeye steaks that make this fundraiser possible. Their support is helping us give back to the community in a big way.

📍 You'll find us right in the heart of downtown State Center, set up in front of Ceaser's Digital Strategies and Jacobson Portrait Studio . Stop by, grab a sandwich, enjoy an ice-cold drink, and say hello—we'd love to meet riders from across Iowa and around the world!

When thousands of RAGBRAI riders roll into State Center on July 22, they'll see great food.

What they won't see are the months of planning that made it happen.

This group has spent countless hours organizing, planning, ordering supplies, coordinating volunteers, and preparing for one of the biggest fundraisers our club has ever taken on.

We're not just serving ribeye steak sandwiches...

We're helping build a Splash Pad for our community.

We're supporting scholarships.

We're helping local families.

We're investing in State Center.

A Special Thank You to the State Center Methodist Church Ladies! ❤️🦁

The State Center Lions Club would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful ladies from the State Center Methodist Church who prepare and serve dinner for us every second Monday of the month during our Lions Club meetings.

Their generosity, hard work, and delicious home-cooked meals give our members an opportunity to gather, enjoy great food, and focus on serving our community. Their support behind the scenes helps make what we do possible.

We truly appreciate the time, care, and dedication they put into each meal. Thank you for all you do for the Lions Club and for our community!
