State Center Iowa Lions Club This is the Official State Center Iowa Lions Club Facebook site. Currently, there are twenty-eight members ranging from age 26 - 87. Dinner meetings at 7:00 p.m.

The State Center Iowa Lions Club are a part of Lions Clubs International which is a volunteer organization dedicated to leadership development through community service. The State Center Lions Club, established in 1930, is the oldest continuing service club in our city. Most members are just like you, gainfully employed or retired, busy with life, and are community-minded. are held in the basement

of the Methodist Church the second Monday of every month besides December and July. There is also a social held at a member's residence before each meeting. Socials are also held the fourth Monday of every month. The members of this club love to have fun! Being a member is very inexpensive. Funds raised through dues and fundraisers are generously given back to the community - some of which are the Rose Festival, West Marshall Scholarships, State Center Main Street, Prom, Homecoming, Library, and Leader Dogs for the Blind. Also, more than 135 trees have been planted by members over the past ten years. As one can see, the State Center Lions Club does so much for many people. Current Officers:

🇺🇸 Flags Over State Center Has Officially Taken Flight! 🇺🇸

If you drove through town this Fourth of July weekend, you may have noticed the stunning sight of American flags proudly displayed in front yards throughout our community. ❤️🤍💙 That beautiful wave of patriotism? That’s the Flags Over State Center Program in action, launched by your very own State Center Lions Club! 🦁

This program celebrates what we all hold dear: our love of country and our shared commitment to making our community stronger. It also helps raise funds that will directly benefit local causes right here in State Center.

With the help of Gina Bown’s signage talents and the groundwork from Wayne Larson and Chuck Ryherd, the first round of flags were planted just in time for Independence Day. Next up? Labor Day and Veterans Day — and yes, you can still get in on it for this year!

🌟 Here’s how it works:
✔️ Subscribe annually for just $50
✔️ A Lions Club member places a flag in your yard before 5 key patriotic holidays
✔️ Optional 6th display on President’s Day if weather allows
✔️ We handle the 811 call, install a flag holder, raise the flag, and store it until the next occasion
✔️ You just sit back and enjoy the view of Old Glory flying high!
