Our young chefs had an amazing time at Culinary Camp! πŸ‘©β€πŸ³πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³

Throughout the camp, they practiced knife skills by making salsa, learned how to make homemade jam, butter, and biscuits, and prepared their own lunches. We wrapped up camp with a cooking challenge where teams planned a meal, created a grocery list, shopped for ingredients, and cooked everything themselves. We were blown away by their creativity, teamwork, and the delicious meals they created!

πŸŽ“πŸŒŸ Sunday Senior Spotlight: Morgan White πŸŒŸπŸŽ“

This week, we're excited to recognize Morgan White, who has spent the last 11 years growing, learning, and leading through 4-H. During her time in the program, Morgan has been heavily involved in livestock and leadership, two areas that have helped shape her into the outstanding young leader she is today. Among her many accomplishments, Morgan had the honor of serving as the Mississippi 4-H State President, representing 4-H members across the state and helping lead the organization at the highest level.

After graduation, Morgan plans to attend Northeast Mississippi Community College to study Animal Science. She credits 4-H with helping her build confidence, leadership skills, and a strong work ethic. Through the opportunities 4-H provided, she learned to step outside of her comfort zone, take on new challenges, and grow both personally and professionally.

One of Morgan's favorite 4-H memories was attending National 4-H Conference. While the week was challenging and required hard work to develop a presentation, it also gave her the opportunity to build meaningful connections with young people from across the country and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Morgan's advice to younger 4-H'ers is to take advantage of every opportunity that 4-H has to offer. Grow your skills, challenge yourself, and lead with purpose. She also encourages members to cherish their time in 4-H because one day they'll look back and realize just how much they've grown.

We are incredibly proud of Morgan and all she has accomplished during her 11 years in 4-H. Her leadership, dedication, and service have left a lasting impact on Mississippi 4-H, and we can't wait to see all that she achieves in the future! πŸ’š

πŸŽ“πŸŒŸ Sunday Senior Spotlight: Desharia Logan πŸŒŸπŸŽ“

This week, we’re proud to recognize Desharia Logan, who has been involved in 4-H for the past 10 years. During her time in the program, Desharia focused on Citizenship projects, where she learned the importance of leadership, service, and giving back to her community.

After graduation, Desharia plans to attend the University of Mississippi to study Forensic Biology. She says 4-H helped push her to present, lead, and speak up, while also improving her communication skills and confidence.

One of her favorite 4-H memories is attending Project Achievement Day and winning awards for her hard work and dedication. Through those experiences, she learned the value of persistence and believing in herself.

Desharia’s advice to younger 4-H’ers is to stick with your projects and always give back through community service. She also wants others to remember to be thankful for the volunteers who dedicate their time to helping 4-H members succeed.

We are so proud of Desharia and everything she has accomplished through 4-H. We know she has a bright future ahead! πŸ’š
