Good News
Bradford Ecumenical Ministries Food Pantry (Bradford Food Pantry) was started in 1989 by 8 churches in Bradford County. They realized that there were many families who did not have enough to eat throughout the month. A small house was donated to them and they began serving families. The food pantry continues to be supported by many of these churches as well as charitable organizations, businesses, local elected officials, and individuals. Someone asking for food is required to meet the USDA guidelines. Children must be verified to receive extra food for children, and addresses must be verified to receive the donated foods. We feel we have an obligation to those who donate to us to use it to feed those who are in real need and live in our county.
We recently began serving Union County residents and seek support from those residents, churches and businesses to provide food to them. They receive USDA food provided by the Department of Agriculture.
