Congratulations to SPLPT Board Member Carter Stueve! We are so proud to know him !
Join us in congratulating Carter Stueve, NRHS Class of 2026 Valedictorian, as we celebrate his outstanding achievements, leadership, and dedication throughout his high school journey.
Carter is a thoughtful student leader, learner, and community builder who has made a meaningful impact at New Richmond High School.
Son of Mary and Kirk Stueve, Carter credits his parents and family, including his siblings Caden, Brooke, and Cooper, as his strongest influence. He values their guidance and the conversations that have helped shape his perspective and decision-making.
At NRHS, Carter is a co-founder of the Earth First Club, an environmental organization focused on sustainability and stewardship. What began with a small group has grown into a thriving club that has helped create pollinator spaces, secure grants, and engage the community in environmental efforts. He considers this one of his greatest high school accomplishments.
Carter also took part in a competitive astrophysics program at UC Boulder, where he worked with peers to track near-Earth asteroids, an experience that strengthened his love of learning and collaboration.
A strong advocate for curiosity and growth, Carter has challenged himself academically while exploring interests in engineering, science, and environmental work. After graduation, he plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison with an interest in engineering and other fields that allow him to help others.
Outside of school, Carter enjoys time outdoors with family, running, reading, and music. His advice to underclassmen is to define your own path, stay curious, and take time to learn from the people around you.
Carter hopes to be remembered for treating others with respect, staying true to himself, and using his curiosity and education to make a positive difference in the world.
