Thank you to everyone for the prayers. I do still have some symptoms but better than yesterday.
I feel disappointed that last night's group didn't happen because of my sickness. I had a lot planned for the final group of the year and with it being so close to the holidays, rescheduling isn't feasible. I will try my best to express my closing remarks on this page, which isn't ideal but there's no other formal way to get this message to most everyone who attends EYF in a timely manner. If there's someone you know that attends, please share this with them.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to have facilitated this group over the year 2024. I have learned new things, grew spiritually, and connected with new people that have been tremendous blessings. The goal of this group is to bridge the gap between mental health and spirituality.
Throughout the course of 2024, EYF held 15 meetings and had a total of 37 members attend over the year, with an average attendance of 10 people per meeting. Holly Springs MBC warmly held facility for the group to take place and there were many volunteers who helped set up, provided snacks/water, and helped in other ways to make this group process possible. There were three special guest speakers over the year who came to speak about Mindfully following Jesus, Trauma Responses, and Grief and all were greatly appreciated for volunteering their time and knowledge.
There are currently no meetings scheduled for 2025. I plan to take a break to reflect over the 2024 year and contemplate on ways to increase awareness of the group or gain more community involvement. I plan to spend this break seeking spiritual growth and guidance along with what would be helpful topics for future meetings. If you've attended EYF and can think of ways to improve the group experience, I would love to hear your feedback or suggestions.
Again, very much appreciative of all who have prayed for, supported and participated in EYF this year. You all have been a tremendous blessing! May God be with you during this holiday season and New Year. 🤍 - Tori
