Take 2 on the Whale talk ...

Wednesday, Sept 23, 5:30-6:30pm at the Stillaguamish Grange Hall. Please join us for pizza ($5 suggested donation) and our speaker:

Keiko’s Story Presentation Description -

A killer whale trapped in a derelict marine park becomes a huge movie star and is rescued by his adoring fans. What does it take to save a whale?

Author Linda Moore Kurth offers “My Journey with Keiko”, a presentation about Keiko, orca star of the movie Free W***y and her book Keiko’s Story: Free W***y Star Finds Home, a gripping tale of Keiko’s life as an entertainer and his journey to freedom. Having met Keiko and his trainers at the Oregon Coast Aquarium and witnessed his return to the wild North Atlantic, Linda interviewed many of the folks involved in the huge operation to free him. Her PowerPoint talk is full of stunning photos and behind the scenes drama.

Linda welcomes question and will have autographed copies of her book available for sale.

Please respond if attending so that we have enough pizza.

We are there every Tuesday and Thursday 9-11am.
