Thank you to all the ladies who play hard on the field, and work even harder to support the young athletes within our communities. 💪

Tomorrow, youth football players across Skagit, Snohomish, Island, and Whatcom Counties will hit the gridiron for their first games of the season!

Our women’s football teams want to give a huge shoutout to all the players and coaches and recognize some incredible women from our own teams who are giving back to the next generation of youth football.

Did you know? 👀

The women of the Lake Stevens Valkyries, Stanwood Spartans, Skagit Valley Warriors, and Granite Falls Tigers aren’t just playing football on the weekends. Many are also coaching, officiating, and teaching youth football.

They’re helping kids learn the fundamentals, build confidence, work as a team, compete, and believe in themselves.

And it doesn’t stop with football. Many of these women also coach other sports, including girls’ flag football, men’s football, wrestling, softball, and soccer.

That’s the part of women’s football that doesn’t always get talked about the impact these women are making beyond the field.

So today, we’re recognizing some of the women from our local women’s football teams who are giving their time and knowledge to youth football. 👏🏈 Peep them on the sidelines.

Come meet some of our team on Saturday, September 12 and learn more about joining our team, our league’s mission, find more information about our sports scholarships, and try your hand at throwing a football or doing the ladder drill🏈. 🎉Congrats to all SHS Seniors class of 2026!

Your story is just beginning and we cannot wait to see what the world has in store for you. Some of you we have been cheering on since peewee football 🏈 , watching you cheer competitively 📣, hit a grand slam⚾️, or more. It’s been an honor watching you turn into the amazing humans you have become.

We would like to especially shout out our very own #32 Auroaru “Thunder Jr” Boesecker for not only graduating (peep all the ribbons and cords 👀, but doing so while also playing for us🏈, being an important member of the SHS band🎺, raising livestock 🐄 , obtaining her black belt in martial arts 🥋

Congrats again Class of 2026. You did it! 🎉

Throwback photo to when #51 came and watched our opener home game!

Do we wish we would have won and blown his socks off? Yes. Did that happen? No. But he was impressed with our tenacity and gave great advice where we can improve.

It may be too late to play with us this season, but follow and come do pickup games, practices and team bonding throughout the summer and fall! Worst case is you worked out for an afternoon; best case is you found your new group of best friends and a healthy outlet and way to exercise!

See you at the next home game on June 13th! Kickoff is 6pm. It’s our time to redeem ourselves against the Granite Falls Tigers
