Hello SCJAA Families,

Kicking off practices this week to start the season. All rosters are live and available to view on the Sportsengine app or website.

Practice for the first couple of weeks will be a little jumbled do to gym space availability but will stabilize after the winter break once things open up.

We are still looking for a coach for our 7th Red team so if you know anyone interested please message us!

Almost there!

Still need 6th and 7th grade coaches! The last thing we want to do is cancel teams so we need a parent, older sibling, friend of the family or just someone who likes basketball to step up please!

I'm currently planning on coaching 4th as my second team but if someone wants that level I can take 6th or 7th. We only have two weeks to work this out.

We had a parent step up to take 5th grade but now we need another 6th grade coach.

We do not want to turn kids away from the program so please reach out if you can help!

COACHES NEEDED!!!!

We are in desperate need of volunteer coaches for our program. Looking for coaches at 3rd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade and 7th grade.

I am currently planning on coaching 5th but if someone is willing to take the team over I can help out at a different grade level.

No experience necessary! We are more than willing to help out until you get comfortable.

Practice schedules are being finalized and will start 12/8. We will break for the holidays and dive into the season starting January 10th with the seeding game.

Looking forward to seeing how all these teams do this year!

7th: Full (two teams, any registrations will be placed on waiting list. Add a few and we can talk about a 3rd team!!)

Hello Stanwood,

SCJAA Basketball is pleased to announce Girls basketball will be returning for the 2025 Season!!!

Registration is now open now so please follow the link below to sign up your player.

Like the boys we will be participating in SWISH basketball through the Skagit County Parks & Recreation program with games in the Mount Vernon area on Saturdays starting October 25th. Practices will be twice a week at Stanwood/Camano schools.

SCJAA has not offered girls basketball since COVID and we are excited to bring it back this year. We unfortunately under a tight timeline to get this going so please spread the word! Registration will be held open as long as possible but team registrations will be due to SWISH 10/4/2025.

Cost will be $250.00 ($260.12 with fees) per player. This includes league registration and player uniforms.

Coaching volunteers needed! Every team will need at minimum a Head Coach and we would highly recommend at least one Assistant Coach. Please email [email protected] if you are interested in helping out. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

Team rosters will be limited to a minimum 7 players and a maximum of 10 players. Rosters outside these parameters will require Board review/approval. (Example: A team will be locked once the roster reaches 10 players and another team will not be made until we can field (2) 7 player teams.) It is possible that we will be combining grade levels to make full rosters and all registrations are first come first serve.
