The HUGG’s vision was given to its founder in 1985; a ministry to provide a safe environment for pregnant teenagers. Experiencing the trauma of an unexpected pregnancy herself at the age of 15, it is her passion to serve young women in the same situation today. Our mission is to provide a home that enables each expectant mother a loving, positive, healthy and nurturing environment. A place that wi
ll offer the tools she needs to make the best decision for her and her unborn child; whether that decision be raising her child as a single mother or blessing a family with the gift of life. We will lovingly support each one during her stay with us by teaching practical life skills, parenting skills (if she chooses to parent), and continued education. Along with our staff, we have off campus partners ready to share their career experiences in areas like; budgeting, sewing, computer skills, gardening, child birthing, as well as those who have life experiences in single parenting and adoption. Our desire is to give the gift of hope for a positive future. Would you consider a donation to help us bring this vision to fruition? This ministry will begin in a home with the capacity to house 3 girls. We have an opportunity to purchase a home with acreage that will afford an immediate opportunity to care for 8 girls without any renovating. Plans to expand will create space for an additional 8 girls within one year’s time. The available acreage will give us the ability to build more homes; homes for more pregnant teens and homes for single moms transitioning into independence. Jesus said, “And whoever welcomes a child like this in my name welcomes me.” Matthew 18:5
