Feline Friends Network

Feline Friends Network FFN is a volunteer non-profit organization supporting a no-kill spay/neuter, lifetime care, and adoption program for homeless cats at Stanford.

Feline Friends Network is a nonprofit organization dedicated to caring for the homeless cats who live on Stanford University property. It is comprised of Stanford staff, students, faculty and community volunteers. By agreement with the University, the Network is responsible for the care of all free-roaming cats on campus. A registry of the Stanford cats and established feeding stations and schedul

es enable caregivers to monitor the health and well-being of the cats and identify hungry newcomers, before they are assimilated into the Campus population and reproduce. Unsocialized cats are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and released back into their Campus territory, where they are fed and monitored daily by Network volunteers. Every effort is made to find the owners of stray tame cats. Unclaimed tame strays and any kittens are boarded or fostered, until adoptive homes are found. No cats are euthanized, except as warranted by a veterinarian to relieve suffering. Studies have proven that trap-spay/neuter-vaccinate-release is the single most successful method of stabilizing and maintaining healthy feral cat colonies with the least possible cost to local governments and residents, while providing the best life for the animals themselves.

Three kittens were rescued from Stanford but were too young for us to handle (newborns!) so we reached out to IBOK for help and they were able to get them to one of their expert pre-wean fosters. Now one of the three kittens is at the vet struggling. Newborns are so fragile! If you can help IBOK with donations for this little boy, we’ll be forever grateful. We’re really hoping he pulls through and has a chance for a good life with his siblings. 🤞🙏🐈

Twelve days ago we got a request to take three fragile newborn babies from a partner rescue FFN. They had been found near the Stanford campus and mama had taken two kittens but never came back for these three. They have been with an expert bottle feeder for the last 11 days and were doing well until yesterday. Charlie, our little orange polydactyl boy, stopped eating and developed watery diarrhea. By this morning he was lethargic and barely responsive. We immediately took him to our vet and they gave him Karo syrup to boost his sugar level, some medication for the diarrhea, and put him on oxygen. He rallied a little, but still would not eat. When they were closing and he had little improvement, we decided to rush him to MedVet. The staff there went into action to do whatever was necessary to save this little boy’s life. They will tube feed him every two hours and try to stabilize him overnight. His bill will be hefty and we’re already struggling to stay above water this year with so many medical cases coming in. Can you help us to save little Charlie’s life? Donations can be made through our Venmo account at .org or through our PayPal account at [email protected]. Every little bit helps and we really appreciate your support. Thank you!
