The Stanford Habitat for Humanity chapter works with two partners, Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco and Habitat for Humanity Silicon Valley, to maximize our impact in the Bay Area. Each year, we host a 5K/10K fundraiser, the Stanford Habitat for Humanity Home Run, to benefit our two partners, and have been every successful each year. Winter and spring quarters are dedicated to builds - w

e take groups of 10 students out to build sites 2-3 times a month to get our hands dirty on the construction sites! Depending on the stage of the site, students may be completing a variety of tasks, ranging from digging foundations, nailing walls, shingling roofs, painting and more. As we work on many of the same sites throughout the year, it's an amazing experience to see the progress from week to week, not to mention a finished product!

Hey everyone! We're looking to recruit board members for the Stanford Habitat executive board. Responsibilities include organizing builds, planning the annual Home Run race, and working with our 2 Habitat affiliates to get involved in the community. As a group, we have a lot of interest from students on campus, and the backing of ASSU Community Service Organization funding and Haas Center affiliation.
