Stanford Synapse: Brain Injury Support Group Please visit our website at synapsebi.stanford.edu to learn more.

Our mission is to provide individuals with acquired brain injuries with support, exposure to additional resources, and opportunities to connect with and learn from one another. The Mid-Peninsula Brain Injury Support Group by Stanford Synapse provides individuals with acquired brain injuries with support, exposure to additional resources, and opportunities to connect with and learn from one another

. We also provide Stanford students with an opportunity to serve as leaders within the local community and learn about the patient perspective of living with a brain injury. We foster the formation of supportive relationships between undergraduates and individuals with acquired brain injuries through twice-monthly meetings of the Mid-Peninsula Brain Injury Peer Support Group, a buddy program pairing individuals with brain injury with Stanford students, social events to foster community and provide social support, and public lectures to raise public awareness about brain injury in the community. A calendar of our upcoming events can be found here: synapsebi.stanford.edu/events.html

We welcome individuals of all backgrounds and their friends and families. If you are interested in joining, please send us a message, email, call, or visit the Join Us page of our website at synapsebi.stanford.edu/join-us. This group is run by Stanford Synapse, a student group at Stanford University that is a chapter of Synapse National (synapsenational.org).
