Helping Hands Community Center Helping Hands Community Center Food Pantry and Clothing Exchange, located in Stanford, IL. The food pantry is available to residents of Allin Township.

The Helping Hands Community Center food pantry and clothing exchange is a service learning project of the Olympia Pacesetters 4-H Club. Distribution takes place at the end of the first full week of every month. The clothing exchange is available to anyone. Various clothing and household items are available during food pantry distribution and Tuesday/Thursday afternoons.

Come and get it!

We’ve added green beans, okra, eggplant, assorted tomatoes, and green peppers, to the Porch Produce Exchange. Picked fresh from the Stanford Sprouts Community Garden this afternoon.

We welcome community members to visit our Porch Produce Exchange all summer long! While we enjoy a lot of produce harvested from the Stanford Sprouts Community Garden, please do not pick produce directly from the garden to allow for proper tracking and reporting that allows us to maintain grant funding.

This month’s food pantry distribution for Allin township residents will take place Saturday, August 8th, from 10am to Noon at Helping Hands.

The clothing exchange will also be open during distribution, open to all in Stanford and surrounding communities. Olympia clothing will also be set up on the porch.

All 2026 food pantry monthly distribution dates are available on StanfordHelpingHands.org. Please note that while the food pantry is only able to serve Allin township residents, the clothing exchange is open to all.

Gear up for a new school year!

The Helping Hands Clothing Exchange has a large supply of gently worn Olympia clothing in youth and adult sizes perfect for students heading back to school next week.

Our entire stock of Olympia gear will be on the porch to shop Wednesday, 8/5, from 1:30-3:00pm and Saturday, 8/8, from 9:30am-Noon.

The Helping Hands Clothing Exchange is open to anyone, regardless of residence, and located at 105 West Boundary, Stanford.

Looks like this has been a busy place over the last few days - thank you to our community for utilizing the Porch Produce Exchange! This is a great way to reduce food waste while sharing garden-fresh produce with the community. ☺️
