The Nitery Experimental Theatre (NExT) is accepting applications for its 2022-23 season:

The pandemic has altered our lives in so many ways. For one, the vital power of theater, dance, and performance, and the communities that they foster, came to a crashing halt with Covid. How do we make sense of the chaos, losses, transitions, and isolation that we experienced in the last two years? How might coming to performance “again” REactivate, REimagine, and REinvigorate our relationship to art, to our communities, and to ourselves? How do we reflect and return to the stage with both the urgency to create anew and the patience to engage with the complex realities of our present moment?

This season, (Re): Activate, Imagine, Invigorate, invites performances that deeply engage with the question of the role of arts in struggles for justice in our post(?)-pandemic world. We’re seeking diverse works and performances that explore a multiplicity of art with various issues and themes. So, we invite you to participate in this exploration of our artistic present and its futurities with renewed energy and creativity, showcasing the resilient spirit of the Stanford community.

Applications are due by Monday, July 18, 5pm. | Please find the form here. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf2NWDL_FsexqV7zjd600G46W2b38PRsCkDWReKTY19q6rA3A/viewform?usp=sf_link

The NExT team will be available to answer any questions you may have in an informal information session on Monday, June 27th at 10:00 AM Pacific Time.
