About the Documentary
Run, Hide, Fight: Growing Up Under the Gun follows young people navigating the realities of gun violence and exploring how they are organizing, advocating, and supporting one another.
Gun violence remains the leading cause of death for American children and teens (CDC, 2022). This documentary passes the microphone to students themselvesβcentering their voices, their fears, their resilience, and their leadership.
What does it mean to grow up in a generation shaped by the threat of school shootings and random acts of violence? This film invites audiences to listen, reflect, and find hope in youth-led action.
Community Discussion
Following the screening, local leaders, educators, and youth representatives will facilitate a guided conversation to:
- Reflect on the themes of the film
- Provide space for youth voices
- Discuss how Stamps can support safe, healthy environments for young people
- Identify practical next steps as a community
This event is open to parents, students, educators, faith leaders, and all community members.
Letβs show up. Letβs listen. Letβs lead together.
