The last couple of months have been busy and exciting for Stamford Troop 11! From a dual Eagle Court of Honor, a Dutch oven cooking competition, overnight AT hike, to a car repair workshop, whitewater rafting adventure, and ultimate frisbee, our Scouts have been learning new skills and creating lasting memories.

While the scouting year may be coming to a close, your child can still join. Send us a DM for details! New Scouts can sign up now, participate in our summer activities, and be ready to start the next scouting year with the troop.

Stamford Troop 11, along with Troop 9, spent the weekend at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, where they participated in an orienteering course, refined their map-reading and compass skills, and concluded with a friendly competition to achieve the quickest team time. We appreciate Hudson Valley Orienteering for setting up the course and providing instructions.

Troop 11 camped overnight and worked on requirements and advancements during their stay.

Even though the storm shut down overnight camping, Troop 11 Scouts had a great time at the Saugatuck Klondike Derby during the day. Scouts put their cold-weather skills to work—staying warm, dry, and positive- while competing against other troops in outdoor competitions.

Huge thank you to Stamford Emergency Medical Services, Inc. for teaching Troop 11 Scouts how to respond to real-life emergencies — from CPR to choking to handling opioid overdose situations. The training helped scouts to develop the skills to Be Prepared and serve the community. 🚑
