New Covenant Center New Covenant Center is focused on hunger prevention and social services for a better life.

Our facility in Stamford provides expanded basic need services to our guests. By creating a safe, warm and compassionate environment, we are taking the first steps toward empowering men, women and children to reach their full potential and regain their dignity and self-respect.



- Our soup kitchen serves 300 healthy, hot and nutritious meals daily.
- Over 1,150 individuals receive 10 days / 3 meals a day worth of groceries each month from our food pantry.
- New job skills programs focused on the food/hospitality industry are offered for clients.
- Staff provides assistance to address basic individual and family issues, to identify and overcome barriers/obstacles and to provide links to supportive services such as medical and mental health referrals.

- Programs include SNAP Benefits, Family Loan Program, and Community Access Program.
- We offer over 100 showers per month and provide barber services and hygiene items to clients.
- Active Toiletry Program distributes essential necessities to clients.
- Referral program partners with area non-profits to provide additional social services for clients. MEAL SERVICE HOURS:
Breakfast: Tuesday – Saturday 9:30 – 10:30 AM
Lunch: Monday – Sunday 12:30 – 1:30 PM
Dinner: Monday – Saturday 4:30 – 5:30 PM

We are delighted to share that we have received a donation of beautiful floral arrangements from Flower Again, founded by Jill Robey.

These lovely arrangements have been placed in the café and the main entrance vestibule, adding warmth and color to our facility. What a wonderful way to brighten the day for residents, visitors, and staff in a space that is already so beautiful.

We extend our sincere thanks to Jill Robey and the Flower Again team for their generosity and for helping create an even more welcoming environment for everyone who enters our doors.

On September 11, volunteers from Lockton Companies joined us at our new home at 507 Shippan Avenue, becoming the FIRST volunteer group to serve at our new location!

In the spirit of giving back, the group jumped right in - assisting shoppers in our pantry, stocking shelves, unloading a food delivery, making sandwiches, and serving our guests.

With the day marking the 25th anniversary of September 11, it was especially meaningful to them to spend it in service to others and our community.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to the Lockton Companies volunteers for helping us mark this exciting milestone at our new home. We truly appreciate your support and look forward to welcoming you back!

We have a quick update to share about the kitchen at 507 Shippan Avenue.

While we are getting closer to reopening, the kitchen is not yet ready for use. For now, we will continue providing lunch service only on site. Each lunch will include a prepackaged sandwich, fruit, and a snack.

We know many of you have been looking forward to getting back into the kitchen, and we truly appreciate your enthusiasm. If you would like to help during this time, donations of chips, cookies, granola bars, crackers, or other individually packaged snacks would make a meaningful difference and help us serve our guests.

Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and ongoing support as we work through these final steps. We will keep everyone updated and look forward to sharing good news soon.

We’re so excited to see volunteers in our new food pantry at Catholic Charities Stamford, home of New Covenant Center!

This new space represents more than shelves stocked with food. It represents dignity, hope and a community coming together to make sure our neighbors have access to the nourishment they need.

Our volunteers are an essential part of making this possible. From organizing and stocking shelves to welcoming and assisting our neighbors, their time and compassion help bring our mission to life every day.
