On August 8th the ladies of the Stamford–Hobart Inner Wheel participated in the Stamford Fire Department's village wide yard sale. It was a beautiful and successful day for the club which raised over $600 for the Inner Wheel Foundation. The proceeds from the sale go directly towards creating myoelectric limbs for children without hands or arms due to either disease, injury, or birth defects. We are proud to support this project and couldn’t have done it any better without the support of our community, the fire department volunteers and the general public. The Inner Wheel club is also supporting the local food pantry as a service project for the coming year. If you’re inclined to find an organization that is committed to friendship and personal service, both locally and internationally, then we could be the club for you.
