Kinship of Iron County is looking for some mentors for our Kinkids. Kinship is a youth mentoring program. Every child needs some help. An old saying was that it takes a village to raise a child. I know from my own personal experience as a child, I had many mentors. I grew up spending time with my my great Aunts and Uncles. I spent a lot of time in the U.P., here in Iron River, with my grandparents every summer. My parents left me to go back to Indiana. I had these people mold me into the person I am today. Mentorship is someone passing on their knowledge to you. We all need direction and most importantly to be seen and heard. To me it doesn't take hours to do this. It just takes someone giving a little of their time paying attention to our youth. I will be sharing success stories here on our page and our Kinship website. If you have a little time, and are interested in mentorship reach out to Carol Foskuhl at 906-284-9885. I am in my office every Wednesday 8am to 4pm. I would love to talk. Great day at our group activity at Kinship of Iron County. We played basketball, had fun playing Plinko, and grubbing on some snacks. Being together is fun. Thanks to all our mentors and volunteers who made this day great. Thanks to our parents too. When we work together, we win together. Happy days ahead. We are always looking for more mentors. Contact Carol at 906-284-9885. Every month Kinship of Iron County will have one group activity for all Kinship kids. As the new Executive Coordinator of Kinship, I am looking forward to our time together. All unmatched and matched children with mentors are welcome and their families too. No better way to help this community than helping mentor our Iron County kids. Thanks Dawn and Windsor Center for letting us use the gym for the activity. We appreciate you.

Kinship of Iron County has a gym day at Windsor Center on May 30 from 12pm to 3pm. 612 w. Adams St Iron River Michigan in the gymnasium. Come and enjoy some fun. Thanks mentors and volunteers for being a part of Kinship. Families of Kinship are welcome. This will be our May group activity.

It was great speaking to our mentors and parents of Kinship of Iron County, Inc. today. I am looking forward to meeting all of you and working with you. I met some of you at the pizza party.
