A little bit about Izabella:
In summer 2023, at just 13 years old, Izabella began experiencing headaches, vomiting, and balance issues. An MRI revealed a large brain tumor, and she underwent an emergency eight-hour surgery on June 16, 2023. Although most of the tumor was removed, complications led to posterior fossa syndrome, leaving her unable to walk, talk, or care for herself.
Izabella spent months in the ICU, rehab, radiation, and chemotherapy, relearning how to speak, balance, and walk while continuing her schoolwork without falling behind. Now an 11th grader at Chancellor High School and enrolled in the vet tech program, she continues to work hard every day. A service dog would greatly help with her mobility, balance, and independence as she continues her recovery journey.
