Citizens Scholarship Foundation of Stafford Springs

Citizens Scholarship Foundation of Stafford Springs Thank you for visiting. You will find updates and reminders here along with other CSF news. A copy of your aid letter from the college or program.

We encourage residents from Stafford and Union who are in high school or a trade school to apply for a scholarship. The Citizens Scholarship Foundation of Stafford Springs uses need as the primary consideration for the awarding of scholarships. Although students who do not demonstrate need through our formula shown below will not be considered for an award from our chapter, you may qualify for a s

cholarship from our national partner, Dollars for Scholars. To apply for a scholarship, click Students & Parents above, then Click to Login and create your profile. Once your profile is created, you will be able to apply for a scholarship through the CSF of Stafford Springs or Dollars for Scholars. In addition to the on-line application, please submit to the SHS Guidance department the following information:
Your acceptance letter from the college or technical program. (This outlines scholarships & grants)
A copy of your FAFSA EFC information. We only want the EFC and no other private information. When considering need, please utilize our formula:
Cost of attendance minus other scholarships, grants, awards, and expected family contribution as designated by your FAFSA. Cost of attendance includes tuition, room & board, books & fees. The maximum we consider is $60,000, which is the average cost of a private school. Subtract scholarships, grants, and other awards you will receive from the school you plan on attending. Loans or work study are not considered in the formula. Subtract expected family contribution (EFC) as designated by your FAFSA and the federal government. The balance is the number we use to consider when evaluating an application. If that number is zero, we will not consider your application for a scholarship. Please contact us at [email protected] with any questions about the formula. From the combined need and merit information, the awards committee will determine scholarships. No application received after the due date or incomplete without prior communication with CSF of Stafford Springs will be considered. Applications received without FAFSA information will not be considered. Thank you for participating in the process. We wish you good luck in your future educational experience.
