Thank you to all who showed up on this beautiful evening to learn about the environmental impact of the clothing industry. Here’s what we learned from Nancy Dilts Wardrobe Consulting on what we can do about it:

1. Make your existing wardrobe as functional as possible
2. Shop secondhand first
3. Shop ethically when buying new

The Grove in action! 1,000 pounds of food sorted and shelved in just about 2 hours at the Department of Indian Work’s Food Shelf. Thank you volunteers! 💪🥫❤️

Public service announcement: Please do not donate expired food! Due to regulations it must be thrown away and it costs food banks money in garbage collection fees.

Updated Volunteer Project at the Department of Indian Work on Tuesday, March 31. Originally this project was to assist in their Clothing Closet, but based on organizational need, it will be sorting and packing up items in their classroom to make space for other programs. Do you have time on Tuesday from 12:30 - 3:00? It would be great to have 2-3 more volunteers. Full details and sign up in the link below.

Hidden River Middle School is looking for people to share their career and educational journey with 8th graders at the school’s second annual career fair on Friday, March 27. The event goes from 8:45 - 11:00 a.m. Help students learn about various industries and occupations, colleges, internships, or even intense hobbies. Your experience is priceless!

Today, we volunteered at Project Home, Ramsey County's largest family shelter, and spent the afternoon organizing donated items for residents to "shop" when they are ready to transition into permanent housing. Our goal was to see carpeting by end of the shift and we did!
