Please join us this Wednesday, May 20th, 2026 at 7:00 PM, the Ride of Silence will traverse and unite the globe as nothing before it. Cyclists will take to the roads in a silent procession to honor cyclists who have been killed or injured while cycling on public roadways. Although cyclists have a legal right to share the road with motorists, the motoring public often isn't aware of these rights, and sometimes not aware of the cyclists themselves.

In 2003, Chris Phelan organized the first Ride of Silence in Dallas after endurance cyclist Larry Schwartz was hit by the mirror of a passing bus and was killed.

NOTE: This will be a casual ride around Saint Marys and is family and kid friendly. We will ride the first MILE in silence.

Meeting Loctation: Orange Hall on Conyers Street in St Marys.

Registration is available on our website at camdencyclingclub.org

We hope you can join us!

““Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” At once they left their nets and followed him.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭4‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Pray. Pedal. Repeat.

🚴Every ride starts the same way: one pedal stroke. Then another. Then another.

🛣️ That's the whole rhythm. You don't need to see the whole route — just the next stroke.

🙏Prayer works like that too. You don't have to see the whole road ahead. Just pray.

🏁 Start somewhere this week. Anywhere.

🌋That's how rides get ridden. That's how prayers get prayed.

“And the Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for Sarah as He had spoken. For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭21‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The Lord keeps His promises.

“He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭16‬:‭15‬-‭18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Share the road” goes both ways. The only time this is ever close to acceptable is during an official cycling event (similar to 5K and other running events).

You’ll never catch us doing this on our rides. Thank you SouthSide Cycling Club for speaking truth here.

This is one of the things that cyclists do that annoys drivers, and gives us a bad name. The law in Georgia allows us to ride two abreast, or double file if you will. The law also states that as cyclists, we need to stay as far right as practicable. That means a double file of riders should only take up half the lane.

This photo was taken this morning on McIntosh Road, west of Senoia. Riding responsibly is not only safe, it keeps us within the law. Two different wrecks almost occurred due to this group not adhering to law and common sense.

Don’t ride like this!
