503 young people received outpatient psychiatric services through ECH in 2025.

The average age of those youths? 14.3 years old.

And 82% of them showed measurable improvement in their psychological and social functioning by the end of their time with us.

Behind every number is a teenager navigating something hard, and a team of ECH clinicians showing up to help them find their footing. That's the work we're proud to be doing every day.

Did you know ECH has a Steppingstone transitional housing campus in Kansas City? This beautiful campus provides safe shelter for teens in Jackson County. It also houses our Life-Skills Hub and Administrative office.

Today is World Mental Health Day, and we want to say something simple: Your mental health matters.

For the children and families ECH serves, mental health isn't a conversation that happens once a year. It's the work we show up to do every single day, through therapy, family support, crisis care, and programs that meet families where they are.

That's why ECH's approach to youth mental health focuses on strengthening the family system. Our Family Solutions for Kids program brings therapy right into the home, where real-life challenges happen and real change can take root.

In 2025, 74% of youth in this program showed measurable improvement in their psychological and social functioning.

Because when the family gets stronger, so does the child. 💙

We are so excited to welcome Beatrice "Bea" Stewart, M.Ed., LPC, as our new Senior Director of Community-Based Services. 💙

Bea brings nearly two decades of experience in trauma-informed care, family reunification, and community partnership to this role. Beginning with her early days as a foster care caseworker, she has spent her career connecting families to the resources and support they need to thrive.

At ECH, Bea oversees our outpatient therapy and psychiatry programs, Family Connections, and Foster Care Case Management.

We are so glad she's here. Welcome, Bea!
