In St. Louis City, 911 response times differ depending on which neighborhood you live in. This is just one of the top findings that Forward Through Ferguson found when analyzing over 1.3 million 911 calls made to SLMPD. Following a presentation of top findings and recommendations, we will host a panel moderated by Jia Lian Yang, MSW/MDiv, FTF Senior Director of Storytelling & Communications.

Sarah Russell, CEM, Former Commissioner of the City of St. Louis Emergency Management Agency and current Co-Chair of the City of St. Louis Local Emergency Planning Commission

Following the panel, there will be a chance for audience Q&A and networking with other holistic public safety advocates.

We’re not supposed to carry grief alone. We need community. Join us this Thursday 5-8pm at Missouri History Museum for a screening of Ferdinand’s Guide to Grief, a short film from Câmi Thomas (Câmara Ashanti Cruz Thomas) My Friends and I about the experiences of Mike Brown Jr.’s family and the grief that comes with fighting for justice, wanting a better world, and being Black in St. Louis. Following the film, FTF Executive Director Annissa G. McCaskill will moderate a panel with Cheeraz a death doula and Atia Mahr, a Chosen Father. Connect with local organizations before the film including Black Healers Collective.
