Saving Our Children Announces Housing and Family Assistance Programs for North St. Louis County Residents
Saving Our Children, a North St. Louis County nonprofit organization, is announcing the availability of several assistance programs designed to support individuals and families experiencing financial hardship, housing instability, or other urgent needs in the community.
Through several community support initiatives, Saving Our Children is currently providing services that may include:
• Emergency housing stabilization assistance for residents facing eviction, past-due rent, or housing instability
• Utility assistance and housing-related support for eligible households
• Family support services through TANF-funded programs, which may include food assistance, household supplies, and supportive services for families with children
• Community outreach and recovery support services funded through opioid settlement programs, focused on assisting individuals and families impacted by substance use challenges
Application Updates
• Opioid-funded assistance applications are currently open.
• Housing stabilization assistance applications will open on March 23, 2026 for approximately 8–10 households due to limited funding availability.
• TANF assistance applications will reopen on March 25, 2026.
Residents experiencing financial hardship or housing instability are encouraged to visit the Saving Our Children website to learn more about eligibility and the application process.
Community members are encouraged to share this information with friends, family members, or neighbors who may be experiencing financial hardship or housing instability.

Funding Disclosure (Stevens Amendment)
This project is supported by federal funding through the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program administered by the Missouri Department of Social Services. The total cost of the program is $500,000 for FY2025–FY2026. $500,000 (100%) of the project is financed with federal funds and $0 (0%) is funded by non-governmental sources.
