Your seat at the lake is waiting. 🤠🌅

MOSHRM26 is less than two months away, and now’s a good time to stop thinking about it and start making plans.

From August 4 through 7, HR professionals from across Missouri and the Midwest will gather at Margaritaville Lake Resort for learning, professional development, fresh ideas, and good conversation with people who understand the work.

This year’s theme is Home on the Range: Exploring the Evolving HR Frontier, and we’re looking forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones.

If you’re planning to go, don’t wait too long on lodging. The discounted conference room rate is available through July 3, and rooms are first come, first served.

A lot of HR people are really good at celebrating everybody else. 💙

You notice the promotion. You remember the work anniversary. You make sure the team pauses for the certification, the milestone, the big finish.

Then your own win happens, and you’re already on to the next thing.

So here’s a nudge to stop and claim it.

SHRM St. Louis wants to celebrate the accomplishments our members are proud of. Big ones. Quiet ones. The kind that changed your title, stretched your confidence, or reminded you what you’re capable of.

Maybe you finished a degree. Maybe you took on a hard project. Maybe you raised your hand for something that scared you a little and did it anyway.

If it matters to you, we want to hear about it.

One week from now, SHRM St. Louis will host a conversation that feels both timely and deeply necessary. 💙

Civil Conversation: The Human Side of HR: Wellness, Burnout & Building Each Other Up is designed for HR professionals who are carrying a great deal, supporting others through burnout, uncertainty, financial stress, and emotionally charged situations while often putting their own wellbeing last.

This session is not about vague encouragement. It is about practical, research-backed strategies for managing stress, building resilience, setting healthier boundaries, and sustaining wellbeing in a role that is often asked to hold more than most people see. 🌿✨ Register now: https://ow.ly/1nFs50Z4tHU

If you work in HR, it never hurts to know what’s out there. 👀

The SHRM St. Louis Career Center is a good place to keep on your radar for local HR roles and local talent. Some people check it because they’re actively searching. Some people check it because they like knowing what’s happening in the market. Some people are keeping an eye out for a friend or colleague.

If you haven’t looked in a while, this is your little reminder to swing by and see what’s posted. And if your team is hiring, it’s also a smart place to share an opening with the local HR community.

Some partnerships work better when people get to know you first. 💙

If your organization serves HR teams in St. Louis, SHRM St. Louis gives you a chance to show up in the spaces where local HR professionals are already paying attention.

Our Business Partners connect with one of the region’s most active HR communities through monthly meetings, webinars, networking events, and our annual conference. That means more chances to build trust, stay visible, and be part of the conversations HR leaders are already having.

For the right organization, that kind of steady presence can go a long way.

If you know someone on the business development or partnership side who should see this, send it their way. 👀

One week from today, we are taking a closer look at the digital habits that shape how we work, communicate, and recharge. 📱✨

A lot of us know what overload feels like. The constant pings. The split attention. The feeling that your brain never really gets to log off.

On June 23, SHRM St. Louis welcomes Linda Hoffey for Digital Wellness: Creating Healthier Habits in a Hyper-Connected World.

This one is practical. It is thoughtful. And it is for people who want to feel a little less scattered and a little more intentional with the way they use technology every day.

Two days to go. 💙

If leadership, culture, and the way people experience work matter to you, this is a good one to make time for.

On June 17, Pat Berges joins SHRM St. Louis for Truly Human Leadership, a conversation grounded in real leadership experience and a simple but powerful idea: how people are led shapes how they work, how they trust, and whether they thrive.

This is the kind of topic that sticks with you because it is not theoretical. It is in every meeting, every conversation, every choice leaders make about how they treat people. ☕✨ Register now: https://ow.ly/5pFp50Z7eS4

Two weeks from today, we’re making space for a conversation that feels deeply needed right now. 💙

HR professionals are carrying a lot. Burnout. Uncertainty. Emotional tension. Financial stress. Everyone else’s hard moments, while often putting their own wellbeing last.

That is why Civil Conversation: The Human Side of HR: Wellness, Burnout & Building Each Other Up matters.

On Friday, June 26, SHRM St. Louis is bringing HR people together for a thoughtful, research-backed session focused on practical ways to protect mental health, build resilience, set healthier boundaries, and support others without losing yourself in the process. 🌿✨ Register now: https://ow.ly/UbaY50Z4tGv

HR friends, this is your reminder to stop for a minute and check on yourself too. 💙

The work has a way of filling every open space. There is always one more question, one more conversation, one more thing that needs your attention.

Before you move on to the next task, take a breath and ask yourself what would help right now.

Maybe it is a glass of water. 💧
Maybe it is stepping outside for a minute.
Maybe it is closing your office door and sitting in quiet.
Maybe it is texting someone who always helps you come back to center. 📱

It does not have to be a whole routine. It can just be one small choice that makes the rest of the day feel a little more manageable.

What is one thing you need more of this week, rest, quiet, patience, or something else?
