This immersive tour will take you through the rich history of 4theville, highlighting its legacy as a cultural and historical hub for the Black community in St. Louis. We’ll explore landmarks, hear about the social and political dynamics that shaped this neighborhood, and learn about its contributions to African American culture.

Today, we participated in a walking and bus tour alongside residents, community stakeholders, and students from Washington University. Together, we explored the importance of preserving the rich history of The Ville Community while also touring public green spaces across various neighborhoods. The experience highlighted how community spaces and stories shape our shared future and remind us that we are our own visionary architects.
