Our Forensic Services team at CASGSL hit the road today — connecting with local police departments across our region to build stronger, more trauma-informed responses for child victims.

These outreach efforts are about more than introductions — they're about collaboration. By meeting directly with law enforcement partners, we’re sharing information on best practices in forensic interviewing, upcoming trainings, and reinforcing our shared mission: to protect and support children during their most vulnerable moments.

So far this year, our clinicians at the Children's Advocacy Center of Greater St. Louis have provided over 2,300 hours of evidence based therapy to children and families impacted by abuse and trauma.

Every hour represents a safe space. A breakthrough. A step forward.

We are incredibly proud of our team’s dedication and the trust our families place in us. Healing from trauma takes time, compassion, and consistency — and we’re honored to walk alongside each child on their journey.

Big Win for Missouri's Kids: SB 43 has officially passed and been signed by Governor Mike Kehoe.

We are thrilled to share that Missouri Senate Bill 43 was signed into been signed into law this week — bringing powerful new tools to the fight against child abuse and exploitation.

At the Children’s Advocacy Services of Greater St. Louis we see the impact of strong legislation every day. SB 43 delivers meaningful change for child victims, those who serve them, and the communities that support their healing.

Key Child-Focused Highlights in SB 43:
✅ Raises the age of admissibility for forensic interviews from 14 to 18 — allowing child victims to be heard in court through trauma-informed methods that respect their voice and experience.
✅ Increases the age for online enticement of a minor from under 15 to under 17, better reflecting the digital risks our teens face and giving law enforcement stronger tools to intervene.
✅ Expands the Champion for Children Tax Credit, boosting financial support for child advocacy centers and other child serving agencies across Missouri.

These are real victories for child protection and will make a tremendous difference for the children and families we serve.

Behind every interview is a child bravely sharing about their experience, and a trained professional who listens with care, respect, and skill.
