Remember that feeling of being young at summer camp?
The excitement of exploring somewhere new, trying new things, and spending time outdoors with friends, surrounded by open space to run and be free.

GGO camping trips are the first time many of our students get to experience that feeling.

A feeling that would not be possible without your support.

By donating to GGO today, you can help share that feeling with over 400 students across St.Louis and Chicago.

Every dollar donated goes directly to our students, supporting something essential to their experience.

$10 can supply a tie-dye shirt for arts and crafts, offer students an extra pair of socks after canoeing and to stay warm at night, or provide a student a meal during their outdoor adventures.

Every dollar means something and goes to something for our students.

What does a $10 donation mean to GGO?

It means providing a GGO student with a reusable water bottle to keep and take home!

Your $10 donation can directly help a student stay hydrated and ready to learn during a GGO activity and beyond, while keeping our planet clean 💚

Two Job Openings with GGO in St. Louis!

Gateway to the Great Outdoors is growing, and we’re looking for passionate, creative people to help us make that growth possible!

As a GGO Capacity Building Associate VISTA, you’ll play an important role in expanding GGO’s programming into the Ferguson-Florissant School District. You’ll work alongside GGO staff to build the systems, resources, and relationships that allow us to bring hands-on STEM education, outdoor experiences, and mentorship to even more students.

This is a behind-the-scenes role with a big impact. You’ll help research and develop new procedures, strengthen our partnerships with schools, identify opportunities for sustainable funding, and create systems that will help GGO continue to grow long after your service ends.

Apply now using the link below, and please share with anyone interested!
