Kesem at Saint Louis University Kesem is a nationwide community, led by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent’s cancer.

Kesem is a federally registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Kesem is a diverse community led by passionate and empathetic college students working to ensure that children facing the challenges of a parent's cancer have space, connection, and support to rediscover the joys of childhood. Our mission is to support children through and beyond their parent's cancer with free, fun-filled crea

tive programs and a lasting community. Camp Kesem at Saint Louis University was founded in 2013 and supports children in the St. Louis community by providing Camp Kesem, a free week-long summer camp experience, and year-round Through and Beyond support services. Our chapter is operated by 55 student volunteers and serves 135 campers ages 6-18 per year. Kesem operates at more than 130 chapters coast-to-coast. Its programs and services are all funded by generous donations from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners.

We are still looking for Mental Health Professionals (MHPs) to join us for camp this summer!

From helping to facilitate conversations between campers and student leaders, to joining us for camp games and activities, and providing layers of support when behavioral or emotional needs arise, mental health professionals are invaluable members of our Kesem community.

As members of our Health & Wellness Team, these dedicated professionals use their skills to ensure the safety, well-being, and FUN of campers, student leaders, and staff while on-site.
