Jewish comedy and talent have been an essential part of the American entertainment industry for more than a century. Jordan Palmer, Chief Digital Content Officer for the St. Louis Jewish Light, continues his popular series by highlighting the hilarious Mel Brooks – who’s turning 100 years old in June! This legendary writer/director was Carl Reiner’s lifelong best friend and produced such classic films as "The Producers," "Blazing Saddles," "Spaceballs," "High Anxiety," and "Young Frankenstein."

The Mirowitz Center had a great turnout at The J - Marilyn Fox Building for our recent technology program with Trainer Larry Edison! In partnership with Senior Planet from AARP, attendees explored the basics of passwords and learned why constantly resetting them can be a thing of the past. Larry walked everyone through newer, more secure options like single sign-on, passkeys, multi-factor authentication, and password managers—practical tools that help simplify your digital life while keeping your personal information safe.

If you missed it or have more questions, Larry offers free, one-on-one technology sessions every Monday at the Mirowitz Center. Bring your “How do I…?” questions about your phone, iPad, or computer—he’s happy to help!
