MO ACC FIT Opportunity: Call for Abstracts for Poster Session
🗓️ Poster Session: Saturday, August 29, 2026
📍 Location: Wyndham Executive Center, Columbia, MO
⏳ Submission Deadline: August 9, 2026
This moderated poster session is open to FITs in both pediatric and adult cardiology training programs in Missouri. Submissions may include original research or challenging cases, and abstracts may be submitted by fellows-in-training, residents, medical students, or undergraduate students. Work that has already been presented at local or national meetings is still eligible.
A few important requirements:
▪️ The selected presenter must be available to attend the meeting and present in person
▪️ Submit in a Word document
▪️ Include title, authors, and institution
▪️ Character limit: 1900
▪️ One figure or table may be included within that limit
Formatting sequence
▪️ Original Research: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion
▪️ Challenging Case: Background, Case, Decision Making, Conclusion
Poster presentation details
▪️ Posters may be displayed beginning at 7:00 AM
▪️ Judging will be completed before winners are announced at 1:00 PM
▪️ Presenters are responsible for printing and bringing their poster
▪️ Posters should be submitted and presented in a traditional flat-board format, with follow-up submission to the chapter website
▪️ No audiovisual or powered equipment will be permitted
▪️ Poster format may be traditional or central illustration
▪️ Final poster specs: one PDF file, one page maximum, landscape format, 36" H x 60" W
And yes, there’s real incentive to submit:
🏆 Best Poster Award: one winner will receive a $2,000 travel stipend to attend ACC.27
