Oasis International Ministries Oasis loves and cares for those seeking refuge from war torn countries with the heart of Jesus Louis, Missouri. They come with fears, grief and broken hearts.

Oasis is helping refugees from war-torn countries that have relocated to St. Many have lost family and friends as a result of war or disease. When they escape the terror of the war they are sent to a refugee camp, sometimes without electricity, water, decent shelter, or education. Most refugees have lived in the camps for as many as 15 years (usually in a country other than their home country). Wh

en they arrive in St. Louis the U.S. Government provides three month's rent and utilities. During this time they must find a job, set up transportation, and learn English in addition to learning the customs and laws of a completely new country. We want to help these families get started in practical ways with furniture, clothes, and classes to help them with English and to learn skills to gain employment; most importantly to simply be their friend. We want to welcome them to St. Louis and the United States

This week, members of SHRM of Greater St. Louis (Society for Human Resource Management) had the opportunity to collect and deliver to Oasis, cleaning and household supplies for refugee families in need. ❤️

One little shirt left.

Over the past few days, several refugee families with young boys came to Oasis looking for clothing for their children. As you can see, our boys’ clothing rack is now nearly empty in sizes 2T, 3T, 4T, 5, 6, and 7.

For many families we serve, children are growing faster than parents can afford to keep up with. Being able to come to Oasis and pick out clothes for their kids brings dignity, relief, and hope during an overwhelming season of starting over in a new country.

If you have gently used boys’ clothing in these sizes, we would be incredibly grateful.

Recently we had the opportunity to honor some of the incredible volunteers who make our Oasis English Classes possible during a Volunteer Appreciation Lunch. ❤️

This room represents just a portion of the faithful teachers, nursery workers, drivers, and helpers who serve refugee families each week. From teaching English, to caring for children, to picking students up and safely driving them home — each person plays a vital role in making this ministry possible.

Because of their love and sacrifice, refugee men and women from around the world are learning English, building confidence, finding community, and hearing the hope of Jesus.

Many mothers would never be able to attend class without loving nursery workers caring for their children. Many students would never even make it to class without faithful drivers willing to give their time each week.

We are deeply thankful for every volunteer who is investing in lives and making an eternal impact through this ministry. We truly could not do it without you. 🌍📚🚐🙏

Right now, Oasis International Ministries has several refugee families who are ready to work, speak great English, and have incredible job skills — but they desperately need transportation.

A reliable vehicle can completely change a family’s future by helping them get to work, school, medical appointments, and build stability here in St. Louis.

We are urgently looking for donated vehicles that can pass emissions/inspection and have working heat & A/C.
