Today, weโ€™re proud to officially announce that Walk For Lives is now part of the UAF Fentanyl Families Network (FFN). ๐Ÿ’œ

This movement has always been about more than just one event.

Itโ€™s about families finding each other.
Communities standing together.
And turning pain into purpose.

As Walk For Lives continues growing across the country, partnerships like FFN help strengthen the support, awareness, advocacy, and connection available to families impacted by fentanyl poisoning.

United Against Fentanyl has officially launched the Fentanyl Families Network in partnership with Hope Movement Coalition โ€” a national community for families impacted by fentanyl poisoning and overdose loss.

Every single day, nearly 300 families in America will receive the call that NO parent, sibling, spouse, or friend should ever have to hear.

A life lost.
A future stolen.
A family forever changed.

Many of these deaths are linked to fentanyl poisoning โ€” often from counterfeit pills or substances people never knew contained fentanyl at all.

That is why we walk!

Today we pause to remember the brave heroes who sacrificed their lives for our country.

And we also carry in our hearts the loved ones weโ€™ve lost to fentanyl poisoning.

Every step we take at Walk For Lives is for them.

This year at every Walk For Lives 100+ location across the country, we will be creating a special memorial wall called:

The Shoes They Left Behind ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ ๐Ÿ‘ž ๐Ÿ‘  ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

We invite families attending Walk For Lives to bring:
๐Ÿ‘Ÿ A pair of shoes that belonged to your loved one
๐Ÿ“ธ A picture of them
๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ Optional letters, signs, names, or memorial items

Together, these memorial walls will honor the lives behind the statistics and remind the world that every life mattered deeply.

Every pair of shoes tells a story.

A favorite pair worn every day.
Work boots.
Basketball shoes.
Vans.
Cowboy boots.
Ballet ๐Ÿฉฐ or dance shoes.
Running shoes.
Slides/ flip flops ๐Ÿฉด left by the door.

The shoes may be emptyโ€ฆ
but the love never is.

This memorial wall will be displayed at Walk For Lives events nationwide as a powerful tribute to those we have lost and as a reminder of why we continue to fight for awareness, prevention, education, and change.

Because fentanyl poisoning is not just a headline.

Itโ€™s families.
Itโ€™s birthdays missed.
Itโ€™s empty bedrooms.
Itโ€™s futures stolen.

Meet Heather Light from Jasper, Alabama ๐Ÿ’š

Heather is organizing Walk For Lives in honor of her sister, Lauren Bridges, who was lost to fentanyl poisoning.

What began as unimaginable grief is now becoming purpose, awareness, advocacy, and community impact.

Heather shared:
โ€œNo one knows the answers when someone you love is addicted. All I know is I just loved her.โ€

Now she is helping bring her community together to:
