OneSTL is a 3-year planning process that is being funded through a grant received by East-West Gateway and 10 core partners with the goal of fostering economically competitive, opportunity-rich communities that serve as the backbone of a healthy St. The final plan will be

(1) a set of measurable goals drawn from local input and knowledge, and supported by factual research that will guide local and regional decision making and (2) a collection of recommended model ordinances, strategies, and plans that may be used by local governments and citizens to further these goals. We welcome you and your comments to Fairfax County's pages. Posting Policy

Richmond Heights has adopted the most recent building codes - and St. Louis County is in the process of doing the same. Let's get into the benefits of taking this courageous step. A strong energy code within our building codes is one way to address energy efficiency and a great tool for your climate change tool belt!

TIME: Doors open at 9:30, Program at 10 am

Building codes help to keep our homes and buildings safe and more energy efficient. In a region where the cost of energy is increasing, it's important to know there are building standards that a municipality can adopt in order to help improve energy efficiency.

Curious about the importance of building codes in addressing the climate emergency? Join Cool Cities STL at THE HEIGHTS in Richmond Heights to hear from experts in the field as we learn about "Building Codes for a More Efficient Future".

Did you know more than 1 billion pounds of pumpkins are wasted in the U.S. each year? We’re here to help keep yours out of the landfill with FREE compost drop-off at two STL locations from Nov 1–Dec 6:

📍South City: 4125 Humphrey St (back parking lot)
📍North City: North Newstead Association (4601 Pope Ave)

Simply swing by and drop off in our yellow compost bins, available 24 hours a day, and our sponsor Total Organics Recycling will transform them into nutrients for future healthy plants. 🌱
